Our annual Sanctity of Human Life Walk and Rally is held each year to mark the notorious anniversary of the infamous Supreme Court decision known as Roe vs. Wade which made abortion legal in the United states and has led to the death of over 50 million unborn children over the past 39 years.

This year's Walk for Life in Peoria will be sponsored by Central Illinois Right to Life. It will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2012, at 6:30 P.M. Participants will meet at the Peoria County courthouse at that time for prayer and singing. We will walk to the 7:00 P.M. Sanctity of Human Life Rally at Riverside Commmunity Church.

The rally will feature a musical prelude and special music. A report on the Women's Pregnancy Center will be given by WPC staff. Information about Central Illinois Right To Life will be presented by CIRTL board members.

This year, the keynote address will be given by Dr R. C. Sproul, Jr.

In 2008, the keynote address was given by Pastor Luke Robinson, nationally known Pro Life Speaker and Civil Rights Advocate.

In 2007, the keynote address was given by Father Giacomo Capoverdi of Priests for Life.

In 2006, our speaker was Bishop Keith Ackerman, Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Quincy.

In 2005, Dr. Mildred Jefferson, Physician and National Right to Life board member gave the keynote address.

In 2004, Ceasar I.LeFlore III, Minority Outreach Director of Illinois Federation Right To Life gave the keynote address.

In 2003, our speaker was Bishop Daniel Jenky, the new bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria.

In 2002, Ed Szymaowiak, Director of STOPP International gave the keynote address.

In 2001, our speaker was Jill Stanek, former nurse at Christ Hospial in the Chicago area. Jill is the courageous lady who blew the whistle on live birth abortions being performed at that hospital.

In 2000, our speaker was Elizabeth Verchio, Executive Director of Victims of Choice, a post abortion ministry.

In 1999, Keynote Message which challenged all of us not to give up in the struggle for life was delivered by Rev John Queen, former Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church of Peoria, IL.
